How to use the Imixs Workflow API

In the next section we will give some examples how the Workflow API can be used in a java application. The examples are very easy to understand and did not depend on a specific Workflow Implementation.

To get more informations of how to work with a WorkflowManager Implementeation like the Imixs JEE Workflow read the appropriate documentation.

Note:
The examples described here are based on the Imixs Workflow API. If you use a Workflow Implementation like the Imixs JEE Workflow the worklfow components can provide additional functionalitiy which is not describe in this section.

How to install

The Imixs Workflow Project is part of the dev.java.net project which is providing a large Maven 2 repository . Working with Maven makes it almost simple to add the Imixs Workflow API to your application. You will find informations about using Maven here .

If you did not want to work with Maven you can download the imixs workflow libraries from the dev.java.net Maven 2 repository . Simply browse through the Maven repository with your Web Browser or start downloads from the Imixs Workflow repository location here
